Major Moscow's Attacks Cut Electricity In Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure under attack in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have come under increased strikes in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have led to electricity outages in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Nine people were wounded while residents in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and faced disruption to drinking water, per reports from local authorities.

Simultaneously, a young boy was lost their life in a separate Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the southern area, based on information from area administrators.

Russian forces has escalated assaults on power infrastructure over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "real steps" from international partners to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the US, the EU and the G7 - in delivering protection systems and implementing sanctions," mentioned in a online statement.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty projectiles targeted energy facilities, characterizing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were striving to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles struck power facilities and residential structures in the capital.

Several of the people injured in the strikes on the capital have been hospitalized, according to city authorities.

Local officials said the city came under heavy assaults overnight. A young boy lost their life and three other people were hurt.

The attacks follow nights of aerial attacks in the region, parts of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to identify.

Authorities told journalists that Moscow was deliberately attempting to destroy the national power system, with attacks already disrupting energy systems.

Officials stated utility staff and government agencies were bracing for further attacks.
